Drake was coming into land near a group of other mallards resting along the water's edge.

Drake was just gliding along the river looking for company

Hen Mallard was hovering above a group of Mallard's looking for the perfect landing spot

Actually this is the first evening shot that worked. The evening was a low cloud dark rainy evening. The trees were were in bloom with the string ligh

This pair came to the call and pasted by really close while I was standing near a pond.

Mallard was settling into a group, then saw me and was bailing out

Working with a new camera and lens to work on birds in flight.

I was above the town overlooking the Yakima Valley as the spring storms came rolling in one after another

Drake was part of a group of Mallards winging it up the river.

Drake came by me close. Auto tracking on my new camera seemed to work.

I was taking a photography class and the class had an evening shoot. The evening was a dark low clouds and rain.
