Location
This was a late arrival at a carshow at the American Legion Post near Mansfield, Texas. The show had already been judged by the time this beauty showed up "fashionably late" and made quite the impression!Time
It was mid-day.Lighting
Clear sky and natural light.Equipment
Canon 7D Mark ii with battery grip, Canon EF 24-105 lens, no tripod or flash.Inspiration
Just look at this beauty! The sound of the engine caught my attention as I was wrapping up. They rolled in, paid their entry, even though judging was finished, and I couldn't help myself. Can someone have a crush on a car? (Asking for a friend)Editing
I did very little post on these shots. A little color balance (warmed things up a bit), shadow and highlight enhancement, minor cropping. In my camera bag
Canon 6 D Mark ii with battery grip, Canon 7 D Mark ii with battery grip, Canon 50mm f1.8, Canon 70-200mm v3, Canon EF 24-105mm f4, tripod, lots of charged batteries and SD cards.Feedback
When something catches your attention, take multiple shots with a moving perspective. Start at your normal eye level, move lower, move upward, go side to side and play with focal length, exposure and shutter speed. You'll be surprised at the keepers you may have passed on capturing when doing your shoot. Look for that "something" that others might miss out on. Most if all, have fun while shooting!
