Ghatal, a low-lying region in West Midnapore, West Bengal, India, is notorious for flooding, with major floods occurring every year due to excessive rain and again because to overflowing rivers or water discharged by barrages and DVC. Every year, about 75% of the Ghatal gets flooded, with certain places remaining wet for up to a month. I was covering the flooded region when I came across this individual travelling through the water with a branch of a tree moving ahead to provide him with a temporary house.
