Location
I took this photo in Cap Sante Park in Anacortes, WA. It was getting on to late Spring and was in the middle of a rain shower.Time
This was in the morning and it was a very grey day with intermittent rain showers.Lighting
There was really nothing special, but any contrast in colors really stands out on a grey day and when wet.Equipment
Canon T3i with a 300mm lens, but I didn't use the zoom because she was within 7 feet of me.Inspiration
She and her fawn and two other does and I were walking through wet forest and we came upon one another suddenly. We both froze, then I moved slowly and was able to take several photos before they wandered away. I was really please they didn't startle and dash.Editing
Just cropped the photo to get the right expression on her face.In my camera bag
What I said above plus a spare battery and if I think there may be some floral activity, possibly a macro lens.Feedback
Move slowly and respectfully through your environment, make no sudden moves. Great photos come to those who wait and are patient.
