This photo was taken in a salt flat in the oil fields of south Arkansas. My husband and I were out taking pictures and collecting cypress wood and looking for native American artifacts when I came across the shoe. I picked it up not really knowing why and after walking a little further found a piece of drift wood I really liked. Dropped the shoe and was reaching for the driftwood when I seen the composition of the shoe. So I snapped the photo and went on about my day.Time
This was taken on a late afternoon spring day around four or five, right before the mosquitos come out. It was the perfect time of day, cool and breezy with the first faint scents of honeysuckle, sweet as a tall glass of southern style sweet tea and just as refreshing and inviting.Lighting
The light for this was perfect, a late afternoon sun beaming down. To be honest I think it was that late afternoon lighting framing that childs shoe that really made the shoe pop out at me like that, causing me to immortalize it in my memory and time with the simple touch of a button.Equipment
Just my Motorola Moto 5G phone and latet I edited it and add the final touches.Inspiration
The simplicity with which it fell. As if a small child running through the flat had simply lost it in the muck and kept right on going with not a care in the world.Editing
Nothing special just a little saturation and then sharpened the picture and added a small bit of that grainy look.In my camera bag
Haven't had my bag in years. It was stolen and haven't been able to afford a new one. It's all done with my cell phone.Feedback
Don't look for it, let it find you. If you follow that rule of thumb you will get great photos everytime.
