Behind The Lens

Location

On a trip to the Sequoia National Forest, My son decided to rest on the General Sherman sign.

Time

Probably mid afternoon or so.

Lighting

The lighting is somewhat subdued because of the canopy of the trees all around but it was a bright day. The tree itself was in sunshine but the sign was in shadow.

Equipment

This was taken hand held on a film camera, my ancient Minolta X7A with a 50 mm kit lens

Inspiration

He looked cute and I liked the composition

Editing

Since the film was developed way way after the event I had to remove as best I could the overall blue/green cast. It came out pretty good.

In my camera bag

Normally these days I cary my Canon EOS sl2 and the mirrorless Canon M1 . I've also started to use the Arsenal 2

Feedback

Opportunities are always cropping up. With todays phones it's easy to document anything on a whim. most modern phones are rivals of the older snapshot cameras and you can stretch them further with some post processing.
