Behind The Lens

Location

I live in a rural area of New Hampshire, USA, which is quite steep and hilly. On the road where I live there is a break in the trees and this view of my neighbor's farm briefly appears.

Time

This photo was taken on a cloudy morning, after a light snow the night before.

Lighting

I added a touch of exposure to this naturally lit photo and brightened up the shadows. It can be dark and dreary in New England during the winter.

Equipment

I favor Canon cameras and lenses and I generally shoot hand-held.

Inspiration

This is a peaceful view during all seasons. I love the long vista from the valley to the mountains beyond, the sky and clouds are always showing me something spectacular and the trees are beautiful at all times of the year.

Editing

I lightened up the shadows and added a touch of exposure, as it was a dark, cloudy day.

In my camera bag

When heading out, I generally carry my Canon 6DMII camera, Canon 100-400mm IS II zoom for any wildlife I may encounter, a Canon 28-135mm lens and my Lensbaby Velvet 85 art lens.
