Water gushing from the upper basin of one of the four fountains in place des Vosges. Designed by architect Jean-François Mesnager, the fountains in the garden were commissioned by King Louis XVIII and built in 1825. The fountains were built at the four corners of Square Louis XIII and are named according to the cardinal points in relation to the garden: northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest.
