Le Forum des Halles and Haussmannian building façades on the north side of rue Rambuteau mirrored in the windows surrounding the terrasses Lautréamont of the pavilions designed by architects Jean Willerval and Jean Prouvé, built in 1983 and demolished in 2011. This upper level of the shopping mall was named «les terrasses Lautréamont», it housed many social and cultural organizations which were rarely open and area was more commonly occupied by the homeless, drug addicts, petty criminals, etc
