This is a portrait that I made at a fight training gym in Miami, Young Tigers Foundation. You are looking at 5x world Kickboxing champion, Eric El Tigre Castaños. He was inducted into the Kickboxing Hall of Fame in 2022. I made this photograph with one Westcott FJ400 strobe shot through a 36” octabox and with about 10 minutes of his available time.

Simply came across this unposed moment walking the streets of Old San Juan Puerto Rico. He never said a word, but this spoke to me volumes.

This was shot utilizing two Ranger Quadras as key and fill. Back light was a speed light with a purple gel. Smoke machine was used for the effect.
