The photo was taken in a beautiful little orchard, on the grounds of Shipley park, a beautiful country park where I spent my childhood.Time
It was about 5.00pm. About half way through the magic of golden hourLighting
The wonderful sunset was the light. All i had to do was try and capture it amongst the flowers.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3500. Lens was a Sigma 105mm Macro.Inspiration
When my lady bought me the camera for my birthday the first thing I did was to go to Shipley park with it. I was a beginner, I knew nothing about camera settings or the golden hour. I had the camera on auto. As i was walking through the park, the sun was setting and at that moment i came across some snow drops. They were beautifully lit by the sunset. They looked like little lamps. I had to have a go at taking a picture. It came out really nice, using a 300mm lens. My lady loved it and for several months it was her favourite photo of mine. She loved it so much I promised myself I would return with a better lens and more experience. And so, a year later and armed with a better lens (another wonderful birthday present from my lady) i went back and took the photo you see today.Editing
I added a darker filter to give it a shade more depth. In my camera bag
A Nikon D3500 body. Lenses :- Nikon 55mm. Nikon 300mm. Sigma 105mm Macro. Sigma 20mm wide angle. Also a couple of cleaning kits. Just basic stuff at the moment. Will add more as funds allowFeedback
I think for beginners, be prepared to move, to change the angle of the shot quickly as the Sun's rays are constantly moving.
