Location
The inlet on Singer Island, Florida (Riviera Beach)Time
My favorite time of day, dusk. Sun was going down and the sky changes to all the colors but it's original blue ????Lighting
Nature has a way of making the light hit just right to write it's own story. Being a nature/wildlife photography, I am here to let nature tell the story it wants to tell through my lens .Equipment
My canon Rebel EOS sl3 I used the plain ole' Canon 18-55mm STM lens that came with the camera when I purchased it And I ended up using a guardrail on the side of the inlet as my tripod. ?????????????????????? It was a nature hike I was on, so carrying around a bulking tripod for miles was not anything I felt like doing that day, haha.Inspiration
I am or finally from just south of Buffalo, NY and moved to the outskirts of West Palm Beach, FL 6 and half years ago. Seeing a sunset over the ocean, whether it be the inlet or over the big ole ocean, it intrigues me and I get lost in its beauty. The calmness of a beauty sunset (or sunrise) over the water is something that can't be compared to any other calming sensation. The reason I take pictures like this is to try to capture that peacefulness, the calming, the stillness, the happiness that I feel whenever I have the pleasure of watching the sun rise or fall over the water.Editing
I did very little post processing as I think that wildlife, landscape, nature photography is beautiful completely natural and the colors in the world are better than anything I could possibly create by switching up anything crazy. If I remember correctly, I added a tiny bit of exposure, brightness, sharpness & texture. Nothing too crazy, just enough to enhance the sunset's beauty within itselfIn my camera bag
I always have my Canon 75-300mm lens, Canon 28-80mm lens, the 18-55 mm lens, about 4 extra batteries, extra SD cards, my old but reliable Canon Rebel EOS XS (1st year they made them). Im 99% sure I keep that in my bag simply because of sentimental reason, nothing to do with actually ever busting it out and using it again. BUT, if I run through my 4 extra batteries in the day, I'm not afraid to bring it out and see what it can do again. Ha Akogn with a couple UV filters, some other random filters and attachments I wanted to try that have ended up just taking up space in my backpack ???????????????Feedback
Don't go searching and searching for a beautiful sunset to take the perfect picture of. Ive been there, done that. Still sometimes do it not realizing I am until it's already gone ???????????. Chasing it will only make you miss the beauty in it & make you lose the reason your taking the pictures to begin with. Stay still, be patient and let nature bring you what story it wants to tell.
