Most of the credit goes to the model for her experience, creativity and trust. We'd worked together before and I wanted to try to immitate the pin up photos of the 30's and 40's. Its actually shot to be part of a composite shot of her sitting atop a skull.Editing
I do most of the work in Lightroom - cropping if neeeded; adjusting lighting and then some touch up. If I want to add more effects/composite shots, its off to Photoshop elements and a few NIK filtersIn my camera bag
That depends on the type of shoot. When shooting cemetery locations, usually just the camera body, 50-300 lens and maybe a Canon speedilite. For home shoots I also have the Tamron lens and a Canon 50mm on hand as well. The spedilite and a small tripod/LED light are also usedFeedback
I'm still learning this aspect of photography (having mostly done events/cemeteries). A good repore with the model is essential - for my shots, I find including them in the creative and concept process gives a better image b/c they are also invested in the outcome. I was very fortunate to be able to work with someone like Katherine who is very upbeat and open to ideas.
