There were so many outstanding creations at the Guo Pei Couture Fantasy show that it was impossible for me to pick a definite favorite, with each piece reaching a new level of interest and amazement. I would love to have been able to touch and examine this shiny fabric to see how it was made, the texture, as well as whether it was pleated or whether each individual strip was sewn onto a backing piece, and what that material itself was like. Of course, there was the intricate beading and gold thread embroidery, plus those colors, the dark teal green picking up the beautiful gold on its shiny surface, while the black olive pants creation reminding me of something Grace Jones wore at the height of her popularity. These were definite faves until I looked across the room and was drawn to the next marvel. At the Palace of the Legion of Honor,
