Behind The Lens

Location

This images was taken at the Prime Hook Wildlife management are in Kent county Delaware.

Time

I took this image at 12:30 in the afternoon

Lighting

This is an all natural light image. The light was filtering through the trees and it was a slightly overcast type of day.

Equipment

I made this image with the Nikon D500 and a Sigma 105mm Prime Macro lens set at 1/160 at f 5.6. I was was able to kneel down and use the tilting LED on the back of the camera to compose that shot.

Inspiration

I was walking back to my car after a rather disappointing outing, when I happen to look down and saw the white mushroom against the dark colored ground. I love taking macro images with shallow depth of field.

Editing

I did some basic Lightroom adjustments. I also increased the texture and dehaze plus a touch of magenta

In my camera bag

My bag usually contains a Nikon D500, Nikkor 18-140mm, a Nikkor 50-300mm, and the Sigma 105mm prime.

Feedback

No matter where you are, always be looking up and down as you go though the day. You never know what interesting things you will see or see things from new angles
