Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on our dining room table, I placed everything on the mat and stood on a chair so I could get a direct shot from above.

Time

It was mid afternoon and a cloudy day so the natural light coming through the window was perfect.

Lighting

The natural light coming through the window was all this photo needed, the bright yellow of the mat popped really nice.

Equipment

My camera of choice is a Pentax K-1 full frame, the lens I used was a 24-70 F-2.8 . Lighting was great so no need for tripod or lights.

Inspiration

My wife is an awesome cook so I wanted to create a scene that would show her how much I appreciate what she does.

Editing

No post processing was need other than cropping, I didn't want any distractions around the edges.

In my camera bag

I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to how much I pack with me because I never know what will catch my eye most times. I have my Pentax K-1, tripod, extremely bright flashlight as well as a 140 light LED photography light. For lenses I have 50-500 Sigma, 100mm f2.8 prime, 24-70 f2.8, and a 15-30 f2.8. it's a heavy load but I'm stubborn ????.

Feedback

Stay safe, prepare for the worst so your never left wanting.
