Location
This photo was taken in beautiful park in my home town Tampere. In the background there is one of the thousands of lakes in Finland, Pyhä lake.Time
Our photoshoot was during the day time to get enough light. Winter time is very dark in FinlandLighting
We used only natural light. Snow is perfect reflector!Equipment
My regular set is my camera (Nikon D800 or D810) and 85mm f/1.4 lens.Inspiration
These corgis were super well trained, they did everything the owner asked. We wanted to get picture with everyone in it and I already lnew this background would work well. This was the first try and we did well! The last corgi in the left is always like that, said the owner. She was also a lot older than any other of the dogs. So she has a right to pose like she feeels like.Editing
I needed to make the light work in the background and in the front at the same time. I lower exposed the photo and opened the shadows in post-processing.In my camera bag
I have two cameras, Nikon D800 amd D810. Nikkor 85mm and 35mm 1,4 Plus tamron 70-200mm In thw studio I use 24-70mmFeedback
The first thing to do is to train the dogs. And not only to sit still, but they also need to get used to someone lying in front of them on the ground. These dogs were super happy and loved people. So without strong knowledge of training dogs they would have been licking my camera in seconds.
