Location
This photo was taken in Point Pelee National Park in Ontario, Canada. It is one of my favourite places to spend a day. It has a variety of nature from the southernmost point in Canada to marshes and carolinian forest.Time
I took the picture around 11 in the morning on the walking path to the point.Lighting
It was still a foggy morning which gave the wood an ethereal quality.Equipment
I use a Canon SX60HS camera when I go on nature walks. It’s a versatile camera that allows me to travel light and still be able to capture pictures from small tree frogs to eagles in trees.Inspiration
The feeling of being in another world. I liked the way the path meandered through the woods that we’re still shrouded in fog.Editing
I used Lightroom to bring back the picture to the way I saw the scene when I took the picture. The original was washed out. I adjusted tones and presence till I felt the picture represented why I felt at that moment. In my camera bag
On nature walks I usually just bring the Canon SX60HS and a monopod. Otherwise I use a Canon M50 with a 50-200 mm lens and a tripod.Feedback
I’m not an early riser and therefore I tend to miss the golden hour. Thankfully for Lightroom and photoshop I can bring photos close to what my mind’s eye sees. The most important thing is to take the picture . You may be surprised at what you captured.
