Behind The Lens

Location

natural gas processing plant, northern British Columbia

Time

indoor photo so don't recall time of day

Lighting

Completely "natural" overhead florescent lamps....had to add gel filters in rear of lens to reach correct colour temperature

Equipment

Nikon F2, 16mm fisheye lens. Handheld

Inspiration

I just wanted to capture as much of the control room as possible and emphasize the lone system operator

Editing

Film scanned as accurately as possible....may have needed still more colour temperature correction

In my camera bag

For commercial assignments I carry the whole kitchen sink, multiple bodies and raft of prime lenses
