Lighting was poor as this stairway is underground. I used the widest aperture (2.8) with ISO 4000Equipment
Nikon D750 with Irix 15mm (manual). No flash and no tripodInspiration
When I entered in this Ouvrage, I was very impressed, but then the guide explained that these stairways are going 25 meters deep. I was even more impressed of this awesome architecture and had to phtograph it, from my handsEditing
Yes, I used Silver Effex Pro for the b&w conversion to get best resultIn my camera bag
Nikon D750 ; 15mm Irix F 2,4 ; 28-75mm Tamron F 2.8 ; 70-300 mm Tamron F4/5.6 ; sometimes Tokina Macro 100mm F 2.8 for macro and portrait photography and Nikon 50 mm F 1.4. ND Filters and polarization filters. Depending on the situation, Tripods (small or big), flash or LED light, A remote control. I always have 3 rechargeable batteries in my bag I also have some snacks and a bottle of water in my bag.Feedback
Photographying a stairway, you absolutely need a wide angle lens. You also need to have a calm hand as you need to put the camera as far as you can to the center of the stairway. Also a live view option can halp a lot in such situations. Use the fence to stabilize yourself and the camera.
