This photo was taked in the beach, early morning with natural light.Time
It was early morning, but not so early. I stardted the photoshoot with Danne, the model, around 6am with the sunrise. But with 30 min of photshoot start to rain and we had to wait. With this pause, we came back to the shots around 8:30 and i remember to change the style of the photos because the light was starting to get harder. This photo was one of the last, so it was around 9/9:30.Lighting
The light was what make me made this picture. As i tolded in the last question, ot supose to be a photoshoot at the sunrise, but i started and with 20/30 minutos shotting started to ran and i had to wait for almost 2 hours for the rain to stop. With this period paused and the change of light i started to play with the shadows and we used a piece of net to create this shadows on her face.Equipment
I used a Nikon D7000 and a 50mm 1.8D and i had with me a 18-140mm 3.5 5.6 Nikkor DX.Inspiration
I think the idea of the sadows in the portrait is something that all portrait photographers like to play. And the moment of the light that i had, make me play with this reference that i had in my head. Maybe a mix of a lot of portraits with shadows. But i like to say that i pratice fotojazz, i like to make the photoshoots acording to the natural light that i have in the moment and use what i have at my hands to make it, just like jazz improvisationEditing
Yes. Ir was post-processed in LR and Photoshop. But it does not have too much work on it, i keeped simple. In LR just some adjustmants of lights, shadows, expositions and a bit of the colors. In photoshoo some adjustmants such as Selective color, Color Balance and Black and White conversion, a bit of sharpness to.In my camera bag
Actualy i have a Canon 80D and i have a 50mm 1.8 and a 18-135mm (from the kit). I costume to have some crative hand made tools, such caleidoscopes or pieces of reflective colored papers or anything i found intresting to interact. When i took this photograph i had a piece of net that i buy thinking in use it on a portrait.Feedback
If you work with natural light, always keep atention to the changes. Use the light at your advantage, she is your friend and also your enemy. It can be a soft light or a hard light, you can have excelents photos at any time of the day. The thing is to adapt your image to the light that you have and create with it.
