The Spiral staircase is located in the Vatican Museums was designed by Giuseppe Momo in 1932. If you go up this grand spiral ramp you will be moving from the street level up to the floor of the Vatican Museums. The staircase is shaped like a double helix: it is made of two intertwined spirals; one leads down the other goes upwards. The stairs are beautifully decorated. The ramp is truly breathtaking.

I took this photo on my way out from the Vatican Museums, four years ago(2010)Time
It was around 4 pm, the beginning of December, almost getting dark outside.Lighting
The original photo has a yellow light, I prefer the B&W, gives more charm to the composition.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 400D, with no flashInspiration
It wasn't the first time I made photos of the stairs but each time I find it fascinating! I could stare for hours watching people passEditing
The B&W makes it a classic. It took the yellow light from the building. In my camera bag
Just the camera. Still a shy beginnerFeedback
Have patience, wait for the moment or be lucky to catch it. I always prefer the simple and the natural in a composition.
