The old militairy compound is now heaven for deer and other animals. Because of the large population of animals during the military period, they decide to give the compound to the animals. It is a protected area because no trafic is allowed, only the park rangers are alowed to drive a car. Now you can walk or bike around the large compound. You enter the compound at various points, Bruggen, Bracht, Reuver, Swalmen. The compound is almost direct to the dutch border. Easiest acces is in Bracht.
