This was taken at about 7pm just after sunset.Lighting
I wasn't planning on taking a shot at the time, neither did I plan the light. I did however have my equipment with me when this scene presented itself. The light was there... I merely had to set up the tripod and capture it.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 7D MII, with an EF-S 18-200mm lens on a Tripod with a variable neutral density filter attached.Inspiration
We were on our way to a beach side restaurant (to the right of this scene) after a late afternoon photo-shoot on the beach. I saw this… stopped in my tracks, set up the Tripod, and shot a series of long exposure shots across the waves.Editing
Stitched together 3 shots to get the wide angle, some color adjustments in Lightroom for drama and that was that.In my camera bag
I usually have my Canon 7D MkII at my side with a multipurpose super zoom (EF-S 18-200mm). When shooting outdoors I always have my EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L at my side as well.Feedback
This is a long exposure shot. Tripod, Variable neutral density filter, cable release and long exposure - just add moving water and the right scene.
