Location
This image was taken in a sandbox near Nuremberg, Bavaria. Around the coty there are many sandboxes in the woods, but this one is still in operation so we had to be careful...Time
We strolled around the woods from noon to find the perfect spot and after half an hour of walking around - boom, there it was, so it was in the afternoon in August 2017Lighting
Lighting was difficult in that time of the day during summer. So we chose a pkace with sunlight, but not too bright. A little California Sunbounce Sunmover got us the right light...Equipment
This was a real easy shot with not too much equipment. All we had was my Nikon D800 with the Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art snd a California Sunbounce Sunmover - nothing more neededInspiration
I had Katie showing me images of the lingerie and we planned to do a beach shot - not so easy when you live in Nuremberg and don‘t want too many people watching you. So we decided to change the place to a sandbox in the woods... we strolled around and then there it was, we bith took a look at each other and were sure to get it done right there...Editing
There was not too much in oost processing, RAW developement of the image and only a little beauty retouching, skin improvement - that‘s allIn my camera bag
Depending on what i want to do my equipment changes. Normally i have my Nikon D800 with a Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art or my Sony A7 with the Zeiss 50mm 1.4 in my bag. As natural light photographer i don‘t use flashes with my portraits, only lighting supplement are California Sunbounce reflectors.Feedback
Get a location where you have lots of clean sand. Watch the sun, nobody wants hard shadows on the models face, make her feel comfortsble, she needs to relax. Watch out for the right angle to take the image - sometimes you have to get in the dirt to get the best results!
