I also have this one in b-w, but after i had a closer look at it, i found it worth being shown in color as well...

Location
This photo was taken in Ireland, Killarney National Park, Co. Kerry. It's one of the Killarney Lakes at Meeting of the waters...Time
We got there late afternoon, most of the tourists walking and driving around the Ring of Kerry were allready gone, so i only had to wait about 30 minutes till i was all alone with the beautiful landscape... nobody there, just my wife, my camera, tripod and me... i would recommend getting there early in the morning or late afternoon and in post season, so you can enjoy it on your own...Lighting
As i have seen the clouds wandering the blue sky and still got enough available light to make it a mystirious scenery, i decided not only to do a quick shot from the ground position, but to do a long exposure. The light was perfectly softened by the clouds and still giving an emotional feeling... loved it...Equipment
This was made with a Nikon D800, my primary body for landscape photography, lens was the Nikon 14-24mm 2.8. For long exposure i used the Logodeckel filter system for the Nikon lens, attached a Lee Filters Big Stopper combined with a Formatt Hitech ND Grade 0.9 soft... everything mounted on a Manfrotto beFree Carbon tripod...Inspiration
I was looking at the water, the clouds above and how they reflected in the lake... considering the shore in front this had to be a real nice shot...Editing
Post-processing was done on this image, with long time exposures there are some things to consider and correct before the final image can be posted. So whitebalance was corrected a bit, there was no further change in colors, only thing was a little dodge & burn to get the structure of the rocks more detailed...In my camera bag
Depends on where i go, my equipment changes wether i am going for landscape odr for weddings of course. But for landscapes my setup always contains my main body, the Nikon D800, the Nikon 14-24mm 2.8 lens with the Logodeckel filter system for 150mm filters. As filter the Lee Filters Big Stopper and Super Stopper, ND grades by Formatt Hitech, as second body a Nikon D7100 with a Tamron 16-300mm travel zoom lens... as additional lenses when traveling or doing landscpae photography i always have my Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art with me - you never know when it comes to portraits ;-) and sine this year also the Sigma 20mm 1.4 Art for stars and astro photographyFeedback
It's all about the position... in this photo i tried to get really close to the ground... i've seen so many tourists standing upright and shooting pictures in 1.70m height... try to stunn the eye with extraordinary angels... get to the ground, get your tripod down (thats why i do not need a tripd that goes for 1.80m), give it a try with bulb exposures, use filters and be patient till you get the tranquillity you want fot this shot... never hurry...
