Here you have the Nun's Cross Farm in Dartmoor, UK. An old structure, built in the open fields of the national park. I wonder how was to live the simple life here? We say simple now, but I bet wasn't that easy for them back in the days.

Location
I took this photo in the National Park of Dartmoor, UK. The access is very easy and there's a free parking about a mile before.Time
About two hours before sunset in a December cloudy day.Lighting
The clouds made the scene ideal. I was looking for a moody atmosphere and this is exactly what I got. I avoid taking landscape photos during the day if there are no clouds, because the light is so harsh.Equipment
For this image I used my Nikon D750 paired with a 17-35 mm lens, which is ideal for landscapes mounted on a Vanguard tripod (by the way, Vanguard tripods are great :D)Inspiration
I knew about this abandoned farm from other photographers' images and I got captured by it, but I really wanted to approach it in my way. And luckly after circling around I managed to find this beautiful puddle and I knew exactly that this is the perfect angle.Editing
I used Lightroom in order to enhance the RAW existing information, played around with the highlights, shadows, contrast etc. and after I was pleased by the results, I imported the file in Photoshop, in order to sharpen the image the way I wanted. In my camera bag
My Nikon D750 camera, a 17-35 mm lens, a 80-200 mm lens, though I'm not using it very often for landscapes I'm also carrying a 50 mm lens cuz damn, it's so sharp! I also have in my bag my nd filters and a polarizer, two cable release, some gloves, a lantern, a cloth, spare batteries and cards and...I think that's pretty much it. Ohh and my Vanguard ABEO Pro 283AT tripod with a GH-300T pistol grip head.Feedback
Prepare before leaving your home. Find out where the location is, how is the road to there, look for parkings in the area, using google earth or even street view in some cases and the most important check the weather forecast! Beside these, just go there and have fun, remember you don't always come home with the winning picture, but hey you had a great time. :)
