Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Italy. The medieval castle of Fenis is located in the mountains of Valle d'Aosta.

Time

The photo was taken in the late afternoon of a cloudy day.

Lighting

The photo was taken with natural light. I waited for the sun to appear in the clouds.

Equipment

I used a Pentax k-5 camera with 10-20mm f 3.5 zoom.

Inspiration

The shot is absolutely random. Visiting the old castle, I saw a souvenir shop with exposed armor positioned outside in the right way to take the picture. So I recreated the realistic medieval atmosphere.

Editing

I used post-processing to make the scene more dramatic.

In my camera bag

I use a Pentax K-5 camera with a 10-20mm f 3.5 zoom. A zoom 17-70mm f 2.8 and a zoom 55-300 f 4.

Feedback

One must simply be lucky or recreate the scene in a scenographic way.
