My first attempt of a water shooting. We spend a lot of time preparing that shooting and i am still very happy that it worked out so well.

This is incredibly well done but I do have a minor critique... there is something by the eye in the underwater portion of her face that throws the symetry off for me. I could never take a shot this well composed but this does distract for me from the overall composition that is otherwise very well done!

Location
This is shot was taken in a small bay at the river Havel in Berlin.Time
It was morning because we wanted to avoid the hard midday light.Lighting
We just used the available sunlight without any special equipment.Equipment
I stood in the water with my Nikon 7200 and a 35 1.8 lens.Inspiration
I have always liked pictures of people in the water very much, so I really wanted to try it out.Editing
I converted the picture to black and white and darkened some brighter plants in the background because they distracted the view from the woman. In my camera bag
I prefer to use less equipment. Instead i mostly use the available conditions to create a harmonious atmosphere and play with the light. So it mostly comes down to my camera, one to three lenses depending on the photos i have planned and a tripod if needed. No fancy stuff in my bag most of the times.Feedback
Be ready to go into the water as you can get much interesting shots that way. So be careful with your equipment. The water should be warm as the model has to keep the pose a while without much movement so the water becomes calm without waves around the model.
