Behind The Lens

Location

This is Cupcake my friend Jay's dog. She was all comfy cozy on the back porch of her Croydon Pennsylvania home.

Time

It was mid afternoon on a beautiful day, September 27th 2014.

Lighting

Just natural sunlight, no other lighting was needed.

Equipment

Iphone 4s is what I had used for this shot.

Inspiration

Cupcake, the weather, sun and angle, everything just looked and felt perfect to me in that moment.

Editing

Typically all I do to my photos are cropping, adding borders or converting them to black and white or a sepia tone for effect. This one is only cropped.

In my camera bag

Currently I only have my LG Vigor phone and a Canon Powershot SX130 IS. In the past I've used an iPhone 3 & iPhone 4s as well as other camera enabled phones.

Feedback

Patience, timing, extra batteries or a phone charger are what I always have with me. Animals are unpredictable and most will react or move some when they hear a noise. I make sure my equipment is on silent mode and I move as quietly as possible in hopes of capturing the exact image I see. Not always easy which is why I keep extra batteries. :)
