Location
This image was taken in the TADRART located Sahara desert, in Algeria. This part of the Sahara is made of red dune due to the quantity of iron contained in the earth. It creates a very special light. our Touareg guide, Mohamed, was ahead of us to go down from the highest dune.Time
It was golden hour. The wind erased our tracks and gave the feeling of being first human being walking there.Lighting
The light was Naturally perfect.Equipment
I traveled in the desert with a very simple camera because of the permanent risk of sand getting in the lens. It was a Sony Cyber-shot 8.1Inspiration
The Desert is a very inspiring destination itself, very relaxing, especially if you explore it on a walking tour, which I did for many years. The combination of pure curves caressed by the wind and the guide outfit was bringing very relaxing, peaceful identity to the portrait. From the back, it gives the chance to anyone to imagine it could be themselves. And the fact that he's bare feet, is making him floating above the sand. Lightness was my impression of the moment and I found it back in the image.Editing

at that time, nothing else....Feedback
Explore the desert, it tells you about yourself and encourage your vision to capture the essential around you. An visual experience as well as an intense personal discovery.
