Location
This phot was taken at Berlin Friedricshafen Bahnhof in Central BerlinTime
The image was taken at the end of a long and frightful day. I arrived in Berlin on a Sunday night as the result of a work assignment. I don't travel to Europe often so was keen to make the most of the opportunity taking an extra day (Monday) to indulge myself. My main forte is Aviation Photography so I headed to the museums - Museums in Berlin are closed on Mondays. So this was taken on my way back to the Hotel as I was passing.Lighting
The early evening sunshine was still streaming through the glass room which acted as a filter filling the entire station with light and very little shadowEquipment
The main equipment I have is a Nikon D7100 with a Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 lensInspiration
As I moved from museum to museum my enthusiasm waned. However I was struck by the vast caverns of light within the Railway Stations (Berlin has a number them in the City Centre) and also the overall transport experience around Berlin, from the art-deco underground stations through to the vast caverns of the main railway stationsEditing
Not really apart from my normal adjustments and switching to Black and WhiteIn my camera bag
I normally travel with 2 Nikon D7100' I have a Nike 70-300mm zoom as well as a 16-70mm zoom lens, the Sigma sadly died as it rolled off my car one day. I also have a Nikon 200-500mm zoom lens but I'm not too sure if its counterfeit or not so I tend not to use it. Not only that it is extremely soft the further up the lens you go. Weight is also a big factor as its not lightFeedback
The Berlin transportation network is full of surprised and very workable opportunities from the Arte-Deco period through to the ultra- modern - go for it!
