Behind The Lens

Location

I use to go with my husband to work when we was working on a local farm. There was many cats and of course lots of kittens running around.

Time

It was late afternoon, in the middle of milking, when I took this shot. No one was around and I took the opportunity to play with the kittens and take some photos.

Lighting

The sun was really bright that day but we were shadowed over from the barn so it made for excellent lighting conditions.

Equipment

I used my Canon T2i , not the most expensive equipment but the lighting really was just perfect and the camera did the job! Lens used was 18-55mm @ F3.5

Inspiration

I'm such an animal lover and I just loved visiting these little guys. When I seen the kitten playing with the rope I knew I could capture something sweet, I didn't expect this... I was so happy !!! He was just so cute.

Editing

The only thing I did for post-processing was sharpened the eyes and the kittens hair.

In my camera bag

It really depends on where I am going. For this day I only had my Canon T2i, 18-55mm lens and that was it. Besides the little things like cleaners, clothes, dust remover & memory cards.

Feedback

Don't forget to play around with pets. I had to tug on the rope some to get the kittens attention off the camera , and then he just looked when I made a noise and I snapped this.
