Location
I took this photo in my home city Banska Bystrica in Central Slovakia. It is historical house at the main square - Benitzcky´s House.Time
The picture was shot in January this year at app. 9:00 p.m. in the evening.Lighting
There was no lighting from my side - the balcony is illuminated from inside by owner.Equipment
I used my camera and tripod. I have an old Canon EOS 5D - the very first generation of Canon´s 5Ds and very first full frame digital camera. I used set lens Canon EF 24-105 mm f/4L IS USM. Exposure time: 10.0 s, Aperture f22, ISO 100 f = 60 mm.Inspiration
There are a lot of old historical houses in our city. The Benitzcky´s House is very nice not only because of its balcony with outstanding decoration. Although the front part of the house itself is also well illuminated, decoration of the balcony is shining to the night in comparison to other parts of the house as well as in comparison to other houses.Editing
Yes, but it was not necessary to make big modifications. I had to slightly modify size, contrast and sharpness, but there were no dramatic modifications performed. In my camera bag
I use also other lens Canon EF 28-300 mm f 3.5-5.6 L IS USM - I usually have it with me, but I did not take it that evening. I always have spare batteries, special plate with certified colors for white balance - but I did not use it that evening. I have also cloth and brush for cleaning lens from dust. And I use to take tripod and small torch with me when I go to take pictures in the night.Feedback
I use to take such pictures in point AF metering mode and with lens stabilizer ON. I specified all other details above.
