This photo was taken in my home studio in spokane,WA. We moved into a home with a 4 car garage and I transformed one of the bays into a studio.Time
It was later in the evening because my make-up artist was running behind but was able to pull off some amazing looks!Lighting
This shoot was done for my make-up artists web site so i focused strictly on the face using Clam Shell lighting. I prefer to use a reflector instead of a second light because I like to keep my set-ups as simple as possible.Equipment
This was shot with my canon 7D with a 85mm 1.4 Sigma lens. Alien bee Einstein with a 22" beauty dish and a triflector underneath the subject.Inspiration
Well my make-up artist and I discuss what we want to shoot next and we wanted to focus on the lips and try to get something not seen before.Editing
Yes the post process is pretty straight forward using the healing brush and frequency Separation. I also focused on getting the make-up very clean looking. In my camera bag
Canon 6d 24-105mm L series lens,85mm Sigma 1.4,Alien Bee flashes.Feedback
When using the clam shell lighting you have to make sure that the light is low enough that you can see the light in the subjects eyes. I have a very difficult time viewing the image in the back of the camera so I always shoot tethered for this reason so I can see what is going on in the photo.
