Location

This photo was taken up on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland Australia at Point Arkwright.

Time

It was up bright and early around 3.30am to get up to Point Arkwright before sunrise. This shot was taken at 4.45 am about 15 minutes prior to sunrise just as the sky had reached it's full colour.

Lighting

Due to the very low light I shot a long exposure to get the soft water look. Using a high f stop and low ISO I managed to get 15 sec exposure

Equipment

Canon 1Dx with Canon 24 to 70 lens, tripod and trigger release with mirror locked up.

Inspiration

I deliberately went out with the intention to get this shot, I had been there before and visualized what it would look like at sunrise.

Editing

Very little processing at all

In my camera bag

I find it best not to advertise your gear for security reasons
