Location
This photo was taken from Pulimoodu, Beypore (Kerala/ India)Time
3 years ago when I was studying in college, me and my friend 'Akhil' went to this place. We reached there by around 4'o clock in the evening. It was monsoon season in kerala, So it started to rain. Usually this place is very crowded in the evening but the rain somehow helped us to get the clean shot.Lighting
The sun was covered by the clouds and it helped me to take this photo in a gloomy mood. And I really loved it.Equipment
This was one of my favourite shot, taken on Nikon D40 with the 18-55mm Nikkor kit lens. Hand held shot and no flsh light used to take this shot.Inspiration
I always wanted to take a shot of this place with no crowd on this bridge to the sea. When it started to rain everyone ran for shelterthat was my opportunity to take the perfect shot. I really love this kind of empty places.Editing
I did a little bit sharpening. I was think about this shot in a more gloomy mood, so I added Black and White effect from the Pixlr Express photo editing mobile app. And the picture looked perfect for me after the post-processing.In my camera bag
I use Nikon D40 with the Nikkor 18-55mm Kit lens and Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G AF-S VR DX IF-ED Telephoto Zoom Lens. Sometimes I use my Mobile phone too for taking photos. Photography is not about the equipments, it's about how hard you work. Then only you'll get the result.Feedback
Don't wait for the perfect moment. Remember the Paulo Coelho Quote "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it". Work hard and you'll get the result.
