I did the photo in my basementTime
When I get bored or the weather is bad I play in my basement studio.Lighting
I used one speed light and only lit the flower behind the subject. I stopped down to F 32 ISO 100. I used a tripod and filled the frame with the subject. I used a spray atomized to create water drops of glue strands.Equipment
I used my Nikon D850 with a 90mm Tamron macro lens. The flash was a Godox SpeedlightInspiration
I watched a video from Lee Hall and he inspired me to try his technique. Lee used a hot glue stick and a ring of plastic to make the strands into a web.Editing
I use photoshop to process my images. I shoot in raw and use the camera raw to process my files. I did not do very much to this file.In my camera bag
I have a Nikon D850 and D7100. I have a variety of lenses F 1.4 50mm Nikon F 2.8 24 - 70 Tamron F 2.8 90mm Tamron macro F 2.8 70 - 200 Nikon and an F 4.6 150 - 600mm Tamron For flash I use GodoxFeedback
When I get in a slump I watch Youtube videos posted by other photographers. I follow Lee Hall from the UK and others that post fun creative-behind-the-scenes videos. I keep a book of ideas beside my computer of projects I would like to try and when the weather is bad I play with one of the ideas.
