I was fortunate to capture this as I was walking my dog one evening. The sun went from a deep orange to this eerie, vivid red over about 20 minutes.
Taken July 29, 2021, at about 7:00pm in Webster, TX.
The smoke is from a wildfire caused by a lightning strike 2 days before in the marshland of Jefferson County, roughly 65 miles east of my location.
