Location
In the City of Worcester, my home City.Time
Taken early morning after a night full of rain. This part of the City is what we call the old quarters. I just love the old buildings on the left that stand proud against the modern opposite. I just felt light was right for a black and white shot. The atmosphere the contrast complemented the overall compositionLighting
Only this, we can take hundreds of shots and never capture that moment. I had waited weeks to get this image.Equipment
I used my oldest Canon 700D, no tripod. Just hand held and the use of a mono pole.Inspiration
I love street photography, we sometimes forget how progress can and does remove some of our visual history! So, for me, while I can I love to capture that image that we can l can look back on and remember what was once there.Editing
I only ever use Abode Express. Straighten the image, adjust the contrast and tweak the crop.In my camera bag
Wow, as little as possible. A cleaning clothe and dust blower. That really is it, being of a certain age and roaming my City streets little is more.Feedback
Just get out there and take your time to see what is there if you look. Patience, plan what you want to capture, travel with only what you need. I believe that by carrying little means I use only what I have. A great Mantra I have followed for many years is by Winston Churchill, who is credited with saying: “He who fails to plan is planning to fail.”.
