Bharal (Pseudois nayaur) or Himalayan Blue Sheep young one strolling along the right bank of Spiti river in search of fodder in harsh winter climate. Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India is a cold desert where temperature falls well below freezing point upto -30 to -40°C in winters & conditions are harsh for people as well as animals. Here the Himalayan Blue Sheep is seen eating fodder around the right bank of Spiti river in Hurling Village. In summers these beautiful animals are found in higher altitudes of above 4000 metres but during winters they come as low as 2800 meters in search of food as higher altitudes are covered with snow for about 6 to 7 months.
