Location
Royal Ontario Museum is a famous tourist spot in Toronto(Ontario, Canada) which is situated at the junction of Bloor Street West & Avenue road. I had taken this shot from the opposite corner of the road.Time
I always prefer taking shots during the golden hour and blue hour. I remember I was strolling across Bloor street around 6.30 pm when the beautiful sky grabbed my attention and I decided to capture it.Lighting
Lighting is the most crucial aspect of any composition and I was waiting for the right light to add a little mystery in this frame. During the golden hour, I got my magic moment and captured it promptly.Equipment
I took this photograph using Nikon D750 with 24-77mm Nikkor lens. I have also used Geekoto tripod.Inspiration
The architecture of this building and the dramatic sky inspired me to take this photograph.Editing
I took 2 different exposures for this image and blended both using a luminosity mask in Photoshop. I have done dodge/burn to give it a 3-dimensional effect. In my camera bag
I always prefer to carry 24-70 mm and 70-300 mm Nikkor lens which I use with Nikon D750 camera body. I also keep Hoya polarization, 6 stop ND filter, and remote shutter release cable.Feedback
Explore the location and look for different compositions and keep yourself accustomed to camera settings. So that once you get proper light you can capture it immediately.
