Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my house in Atlanta, GA USA. I let my dog Neo outside to use the bathroom in the back yard. As a Self-taught photographer I try to push myself and learn from every shot I take.

Time

This was actually in the afternoon when I took the photo but it was cloudy outside so I didn’t have to worry to much about the sun being Directly Above.

Lighting

I wanted to give the photo kind of a classic look and also to draw the viewer looking at Neo so I darkened the edges a little.

Equipment

I used my only camera, a. Canon M50. The lens is 15-45mm. I just held the camera in my hands and didn’t use and flash or lighting other then natural light.

Inspiration

With everyone being Quarantine and doing social distancing was my inspiration. Also my dog Neo always wait like a good boy to come back inside once he uses the bathroom.

Editing

I edited the shot in light room giving it a classic look by editing the color, light, Saturation. Very simple Edit.

In my camera bag

I only own one camera, my canon m50 and only one lens which is a 15-45mm lens. Definitely want to get more cameras and extra lens but I can’t afford it right now.

Feedback

Just keep taking photos, take photos you like and don’t worry about what people will say or think. The more photos you take the better and more comfortable you will become. Have fun and know over time you will get better and better.
