High Noon with not a cloud in the sky mid January.Lighting
Crazy lighting. Everything inside the castle walls was blue. Nothing in the middle was in decent shade. There are people everywhere. This photoshoot was my one in a millionEquipment
Nikon d750 Tamron 24 to 70 and a godox flash.Inspiration
My grandmother passed away a couple weeks before and I had not picked up my camera since. I had been planning this session for some time and the timing could not have been better. I am well known for my unique dancing photos and this one was pure magic filled with love and spirit.Editing
I used the Small Rose presets with individual brush changes on each part of the body to make up for the colouring and lighting that the ice castle gives off.In my camera bag
Nikon d750 and my 24 to 70 are my workhorses. I couldnt live without them.Feedback
Luck of the draw. Plan way ahead. Get everything ahead of time. It was almost minus thirty degrees Celsius this day so it's important to be quick, organized and precise. Also the ability to ask people to move out of the way to save yourself alot of time in post.
