I took a walk on my 30th birthday to a happy place I hadn't visited since a massive flood changed the landscapes in Southern Alberta in 2013. I was told it wasn't the same, it's not what I remember and it wasn't as good anymore.
But when I stood infront of the falls for the first time I realized that although they had changed, they were better. They were accessible now from the top and provided the biggest rock platform to spend the day.
It was perfect timing for my 30th birthday. I may change, and some may think I'm not the same and not as good anymore. But I'm better, and more open than I ever have been. Life has changed me, but my water still flows.
