Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on my last trip to Paris. A few hours before it was raining and at that moment walking around the Trocadero area, the ground was full of puddles. A young man was resting next to his scooter, and immediately I saw the capture.

Time

The time was around 5 or 6 p.m. and the afternoon was staying with a spectacular light to take pictures with the contrast of sunset and wet soil.

Lighting

Of course, at that moment the sun was appearing among the clouds and the light was beginning to take reddish tones.

Equipment

I use my Canon 1300D but it was

Inspiration

I usually use my canon 1300D but I kept it in my backpack. I have a Huawei P20Pro with Leica lenses that gives me more ease of capture when the perspective is more complicated. In this case I used my phone.

Editing

I try not to perform too much post-processing. Only in certain cases I use Lightroom for small adjustments in contrasts and lights. With this photo I only modified a little contrast, lights and clarity.

In my camera bag

I have a Canon 1300D with several lenses: a 50mm lens, a telephoto lens of 75-300mm and a simple 18-55mm kit. I also use my Huawei P20 Pro phone with Leica lenses, which makes it easier to capture with complex approaches and complicated perspectives.

Feedback

I have extensive knowledge of camera operation, but no matter how good the camera is, it is more important to wait and look around to find the best composition from the optimal perspective. Many times you have a good photo in front of you but we do not realize it. You have to train yourself in the visualization of each moment.
