Location
This was taken at the intersection of Queen and Yonge Streets in Toronto. Heart of the downtown retail district.Time
It was about mid morning as I was leaving a nearby appointment. I felt a walk was in order. The roads were wet from a brief rain and melting snow.Lighting
The lighting was natural from the sun coming berween the buildings at just the right time. I wanted to draw focus to the streetcar as it moved out of the shadows.Equipment
I had my Fujipix S4800 and my Samsung phone with me. Simply hand held in this case.Inspiration
I've always been a transit fan and streetcars in particular. I also like the history of the area. It was also important as the era of this streetcar came to an end shortly after.Editing
I used Phtoshop Express to adjust the lighting slightly and highlight the Red and White. This way the main subject stood out.In my camera bag
I have my S4800 and usually just my phone. Sometimes my Tripod. I don't have a lot of time to explore these days but I want to be prepared.Feedback
You don't always need to be deliberate in setting up for these types of pics. Spontaneity often brings good results. I have many other similar pics I'll post in the future.
