An usually looking bug found on our patio. We believe it is a wasp, but we aren't sure. Just learning how to use the macro lens and grabbed the tripod and camera and took a few shots. UPDATE: This is a robber fly. We found out during a macrophotography workshop and met some new friends in the process. If you are out in the woods and hear a bug go past you with a loud bzzzzzz, it's probably a robber fly. He was just hanging out, eating the other bugs in the area.

I'm happy with the overall composition and placement, but still learning about focal length on this one. The robber fly's back was not quite in focus. I love how his legs, eyes and wings are in focus - so at 3.5 f/stop that was an accomplishment.
