This was within the first few months of using a drone, so I was getting to grips with the possibilities, I love how you can find different angles and perspectives on things with a drone.Equipment
DJI Mavic ProInspiration
The owner of the apartment, it turned out, was a keen model helicopter builder, so we got on great when I showed him my drone. He loved the pictures I took and regularly uses them for promotional material and advertising so it was a win for both of us.Editing
Recently I've been revisiting some of my older work, either in the early stages of getting use to new equipment, or revising very early work to apply new techniques and processing that I didn't know about or had confidence with back then. It wasn't until I reposted this on Instagram using a different filter and framing differently that I managed to make the shot look a lot better than when I posted it last year.In my camera bag
Sony A7iii, Mavic 2 Pro (complete with Hasselblad camera) and various lenses.Feedback
Don't be afraid to shoot anything and always keep your originals, especially if they are RAW files. You never know what you're going to learn in the future that you can apply to pictures you may disregard now. Also, don't be afraid to talk to people. If I hadn't had spoken to and connected with the owner of the apartment I was staying in, I would have been given free reign to shoot anything I want on his property, which is always a plus when using a drone.
