I took this photo right outside my home here in Laggan, Newtonmore, Scotland. It was taken on one of the main bridges that crosses the River Spey here in the Cairngorms National Park.Time
I remember sitting at my computer one afternoon and we had just had a rainstorm and I suddenly saw that the sun was starting to come out. I grabbed my camera and ran outside hoping I was going to be right and expect to see a rainbow. Not only did I get to see one rainbow but it was a double rainbow.Lighting
I was lucky with the lighting has the sun was coming out behind me and the storm was going in the opposite ditection.Equipment
Just my Nikon D750 hand heldInspiration
The inspiration for the photo was the storm that had been and the sun coming out. It is an amazing part of the world to live in.Editing
The only processing i did was use light room to join 3 photos together to create a panoramic and also Lightroom to bring out the shadows and colours as was shot in a raw file formatIn my camera bag
Equipment I normally have in my bag is my Nikon D750, my sigma 150-500mm lens for wildlife shots and my 28mm nikon lens for my landscape shots. I always carry my tripod and a hoya 1000nd filter for any waterfall shotsFeedback
My biggest advice for anyone starting out is just keep shooting and just remember that what you take and like is not going to please everybody.
